As a frame to the wearer’s face, a neck piece is usually the first item of jewelry noticed by an observer. With a large design area, necklaces, chokers, and collars are among my favorite jewelry pieces to create. At the same time, they present annoying challenges, not the least of which is gravity: No matter where I want it to be, the heaviest part of a neck piece will always be front and center.
